The action a person takes when they agree, by email or other means, to receive communications. It requires a mechanism to encourage and allow people to become recipients.

The user has agreed to receive bulk emails and will have their email address placed on a digital mailing list. Most opt-in emails are used for newsletters or a subscription of a particular interest to the user.
