A marketing term used to define the method through which a product is sold including retailers, catalogues, internet eCommerce websites, etc. used to identify the path a product must follow inorder to reach the end user.
The distribution channel is part of a marketing mix strategy commonly referred to as the "four P's". This represents Products, Price, Place (relating to distribution) and Promotion. Collectively these tools are used to satisfy their target market.
