Destination control system is the document that accompanies all the shipments when the goods are transported from one place to another. DCS forms an integral part of the transportation of goods in ecommerce system.

Thus, if the DCS in the ecommerce system has a return address, the goods can be safely reached to the address of the web merchant of the ecommerce system. This is important or the web merchant will have to bear the losses and also the customers because they have to do without that product for longer time.

The Destination Control Statement should also contain the types of products inside the shipment. The Destination Control Statement must mention the features of the products. If say the products inside the box are inflammable, the shippers will ensure that the box is kept aloof from the fire substances. Of say the products inside the box are degradable, care will be takes that such things are kept in lower temperatures.
