Sponsor

Many Web Pages have organizations, businesses, or other interests which sponsor the page. Often, you can find a link titled "Sponsors" or "About Us" explaining who or what is sponsoring the page. Sometimes the advertisments on the page (banner ads, links, buttons to other sites that sell or promote something) are sponsors. Sponsors and the funding they provide may or may not influence what can be said on the page or site by excluding some opposing viewpoint or causing some other imbalanced information. This does not mean a sponsored site is bad, but you should be alert to the need of evaluating the site or page very carefully.
